port augusta NDMA show and shine on saurday 27th febuary 2010
is anybody going to go to this i know the 3 telfer cars will be going again as it is our home town if interested let me know might be able to arrange free accomadation and bbq tea place to clean your car etc for a few as we will be going up on the friday night and coming back on the sunday

they had this show last year with 150 cars and 5000 people through the gate
steve if we can get acd 4 2010 dates and venue organised we can do some advertising on the day etc yes i know its a big ask but we can only try

NO WAY

5,000 people through the gate is $25,000.00 @ $5.00 per head im holding ACD there if you can get me those numbers

We will have a meeting after xmas Kim, see if we cant come up with some details.

it was the first car show there in over 10 years and was run by the NDMA northern drag and motor sport association once i find the local aritcle i will post it up had to keep it as heln won best female car entered in fact heln was the only female to win a prize at the show

lets do it in port pirie as they havent had a car show there for a while (kevee8 might be able to confirm that) LOL

Hi Guys,

Went to this show last year and rates as one of the best shows i've been to. Who could forget the Jet Car or the sound of the Top Fueller starting up.
Definately have this one on the calendar, drove up & back on the same day

and yes steve/ paula how can we not forget the jet car burning the tree behind it and you parking in front of me
havent got entry forms but are chasing them up as they dont have them on the website yet as soon as i get them will post on here

we will be cruising up on friday so yes if you all want we can cruise up together like a real club cruise / event / road trip lol
accomadation wont be a problem lots of relatives who are all holden mad and room at moms place and bbq tea could even show you the sight of port augusta ( that will take 7.5 minutes)

think we will have to get some tshirts made for acd

just spoke one of the organisors the entry form link on the website is not up yet might be another 2 weeks but once he has one he will email me with it

so stay tuned

it will be a road trip weekend away for acd

I'll finish work at 7am that morning so count me in.Not as far to go for this one for a change.

Entry forms are now up on the NDMA web site, $30 entry fee - only good for vehicle & 1 category and 1 person, $12 extra per person & $5 per extra category. (max 2 Categories)
So all up it's going to cost me $47 to enter for 2 categories and get the missus in as well - a bit steep i reckon, most shows allow for 2 people per entry!!

But we are still going as it was a great show last year, hope to see you all there.

and yes its a bit steep 12.00 for another person be interesting to see how much they are charging for general admission

so whos going and when do we want to cruise up as a club /group

i have updated my first post with the LIST

Sent an email enquiring about the $12 extra per person stating i thought it was a bit steep, i assume from the reply i got they've had a few others query this as well, as he reply i got said this is a topic for discussion at their club meeting Tues night. Will wait to see if there's any changes. It also said general admission will be $12 entry an increase of $2 from last year to cover costs.

Are you guys going up Sat or Fri night? if going Sat morn would be great to meet up somewhere and cruise up altogether.

im sure we can meet up on the saturday morning some where if you want
i think one of the commodore clubs are going up saturday morning

$2 increase to cover costs hell they made $40,000 last year i hope there not getting to greedy and the show fails

Any word on these costs yet ???
Also when do the entry forms need to be in ???

Need to book some accomodation and I will finish work about 5pm on the Friday I hope so its a Friday night flight or early Saturday morning run for me (no roo's) please.
